Edition 2025 — Schlossfestspiele Dorf Tirol
Lysistrata in Rock (2025)
The 2025 edition of the Schlossfestspiele Dorf Tirol marked the beginning of a new era with Lysistrata in Rock, a modern and rhythmic reinterpretation of Aristophanes' comedy, the first production helmed by the new artistic director Manfred Schweigkofler.
In keeping with the festival's tradition, the classic was reimagined with a rock twist, featuring live music, irony, and an infectious rhythm, set against the historic backdrop of Tyrol Castle. Performances took place from 15 July to 11 August 2025, every evening at 9:00 PM in the Vorburg of the castle, in the municipality of Tirolo (Bolzano). In 2025, the festival also offered the Young Castle theatre workshop for children and teenagers.
