Edition 2025 — Schella Marz

In 2025, Schella Marz once again presented the ancient Cimbrian end-of-winter festival in Asiago, with noisy processions of bandoni and ciochè and the traditional burning of the "vecia". For three evenings, the town center came alive with this community rite that bids farewell to the cold season on the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni.

In 2025, Schella Marz renewed its Cimbrian tradition in Asiago, with evening processions through the town center and the final bonfire of the "vecia", a puppet representing winter. The festival, organized by youth associations and local groups, reaffirmed its identity value for the entire Altopiano dei Sette Comuni, in the province of Vicenza.

Programme

The detailed routes for 2025 are no longer available online. The festival followed the usual format: three evenings of processions with bandoni and ciochè starting from Piazza II Risorgimento and the final burning of the "vecia".
