Edition 2025 — Schafabtrieb Stilfs

The 2025 edition of the Schafabtrieb in Stelvio (Stilfs) took place on Saturday, September 20, on the Lausboden plateau. The flock arrived from the high-altitude pastures around 8:00 AM, followed by the traditional sheep shearing. As is customary, the Schafzuchtverein Stilfs organized the festival with food and drinks for participants, in a convivial atmosphere at the foot of the Ortler.

Schafabtrieb 2025 in Stelvio

On Saturday, September 20, 2025, the Lausboden plateau, above the village of Stilfs, hosted the autumn sheep drive. The flock arrived in the valley from the high-altitude pastures around 8:00 AM, kicking off the day of festivities organized by the Schafzuchtverein Stilfs.

The arrival of the animals was followed by the traditional shearing, with food and drinks available to those present. The event, for which registration was required, confirmed the vitality of the pastoral tradition of the Vinschgau Valley, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige, at the foot of the Ortler massif.
