Edition 2025 — ScenArte

In August 2025, ScenArte returned to Rome with a new edition, confirming its format of urban theatre spread across Isola Farnese, Cesano di Roma, and the Giardino degli Aranci. Organized by Abraxa Teatro and directed by Emilio Genazzini, the festival featured free shows, street art performances, storytelling, and workshops, continuing the legacy of one of the longest-running events of the Estate Romana.

ScenArte 2025

The 2025 edition of the International Urban Theatre Festival renewed the summer appointment with experimental theatre and street arts in the Municipality of Rome, in Lazio. As per tradition, the program unfolded between the villages of Municipality XV — Isola Farnese and Cesano di Roma — and the Giardino degli Aranci on the Aventine, the historic heart of the festival.

Evening open-air shows, itinerant performances, storytelling, and workshops enlivened the event, which maintained free admission in 2025 as well. ScenArte thus confirmed its identity as a widespread festival, capable of taking theatre out of conventional venues and engaging residents, enthusiasts, and tourists visiting Rome in August.
