Edition 2025 — Scarecrow Competition

The first edition of the Scarecrow Competition inaugurated this new fun and educational event in San Giovanni in Galilea, a hamlet of Borghi (FC), initiated by the Renzi Museum and the Friends of Dante Association. Born from an idea by Sabrina Foschini, the competition involved local schools in creating creative scarecrows, launching an event dedicated to rediscovering Romagnol peasant tradition in the heart of Emilia-Romagna.

First Edition

The first edition of the Scarecrow Competition marked the launch of this initiative in San Giovanni in Galilea, a hamlet of the Municipality of Borghi, in the province of Forlì-Cesena. Organized by the Renzi Museum and the Friends of Dante Association, with the patronage of the Municipality, the event was born from an idea by Sabrina Foschini.

From its debut, the competition involved local schools in a creative contest dedicated to scarecrows, intended as a tool to promote the anthropological roots of peasant culture. The success of this first edition laid the groundwork for the event's continuation in subsequent years, confirming it as a cultural highlight of the village.
