Scandriglia Film Festival

On Saturday, October 12, 2024, the Teatro Sant'Antonio in Scandriglia hosted the first edition of the Scandriglia Film Festival, the new independent cinema event established by the Shawna E. Shea Memorial Foundation in honor of Massimiliano Scacchi. The opening day alternated between feature films and international shorts: starting with the dystopian film A is for Alice by Sharon Grace Badia, followed in the afternoon by a block of twelve shorts from Italy, the US, and Iran, and closing with the British documentary Outcaste: The House That Carol Built by Laura and Colin Graham, accompanied by seven short films including Scandriglia by Giulio Quadrino, filmed in the village, and One Last Coin by Skip Shea. A debut that brought auteur cinema to the heart of Sabina, forty minutes from Rome.
