Scacco del Colle

The first edition of Scacco del Colle was held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Parco Auricarro in Palo del Colle, as the opening stage of a multi-phase amateur tournament. The day's program combined a free narrative walk at 4:00 PM, a friendly tournament starting at 6:00 PM with five ten-minute rounds, and the awards ceremony at 8:00 PM.

The event saw the participation of various local chess organizations, including Open Scacchi and Apulia Scacchi from Corato, Herculea Proles from Palo del Colle, La Torre del Tempo from Terlizzi, the Laboratorio Scacchistico Barese, and the Circolo dell'Erba from Trani. Online registration required a fee of 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for minors, with part of the proceeds donated to charity. The 2025 season continued with the autumn stage in September, confirming the project as a fixed appointment for the local community.
