Scaccione Festival

The 2025 Scaccione Festival took place on Saturday, September 20, 2025, in Piazza Sant'Antonio, in the historic center of Monterosso Almo, in the province of Ragusa.

At the two stands set up for the occasion, equipped with wood-fired ovens, nearly two thousand pieces of scaccione were prepared and baked in full view of the public, seasoned with capuliato (sun-dried tomatoes), olive oil, oregano, ham, and mozzarella. The tastings were accompanied by excellent local red wine and musical entertainment, in a festive evening that confirmed the success of an event now deeply rooted in the September calendar of the Iblean village.
