Sbrinz Route 2025

The 2025 edition of the Sbrinz Route saw the muleteer caravan descend from the Gries Pass and reach Riale, in Val Formazza, on Thursday, August 29, in the late afternoon, around 5:00 PM. Waiting for the muleteers and their mules was the Walser community of Formazza in traditional costume, with folk dances and a market dedicated to mountain pasture products.

The following day, Friday, August 30, the caravan departed in the morning from Valdo, with a stop in Ponte and a welcome in Crevoladossola, along the route that crosses the Antigorio Valley, passing through Premia and Crodo. The grand finale was held in Piazza Mercato in Domodossola, the historic heart of the event, once again celebrating the centuries-old friendship between the Alpine communities of Italy and Switzerland along the ancient Sbrinz cheese route.
