Edition 2025 — Monteleone Festival
The twenty-first edition of the Monteleone Festival
On August 2 and 3, 2025, the Monteleone district in Marano di Napoli hosted the 21st edition of the Sausage and Local Products Festival, presented by the organizers with the theme "Sausage Festival 2.0". The setting for the festival, as per tradition, was the Monteleone Castle, the fortress linked to the name of Frederick II of Swabia that overlooks the hill behind the Marano town center.
The food stalls opened in the evening, around 7:00 PM, offering grilled sausage, fresh mozzarella, bruschetta, and warm graffe, with wine offered to visitors. The stage featured performances by Annamaria Colasanto, Romeo Barbaro, and the Marechiaro group led by Rosario Attanasio, for two evenings of Neapolitan song.
The event, with free admission, was organized for charity by the Sant'Alfonso Maria de' Liguori Parish together with the Macelleria Belvedere, confirming a formula that combines popular gastronomy, music, and the promotion of a little-known medieval monument in the province of Naples.
