Edition 2025 — Sauderer Kirchtig

The 2025 edition of the Sauderer Kirchtig took place on Sunday, September 21st, in Sauders, a hamlet of Villanders. As per tradition, the festival inaugurated the Törggelen season in the Eisacktal valley with morning Holy Mass and a rural celebration at the Winklerhof featuring South Tyrolean music, folk dances, chestnuts, and new wine.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, the hamlet of Sauders, above Villanders, hosted the traditional festival that marks the start of the Törggelen season each year. The day began at 10:00 AM with Holy Mass in the small church of Sauders, followed by the rural festival at the Winklerhof.

Organized by the Volkstanzgruppe Villanders, the event featured live music, folk dance performances, and traditional Törggelen dishes: roasted chestnuts, Villanders krapfen, and the farm's new wine. There was also a play area for children and social gatherings with local farmers.
