Edition 2025 — Satriano Carnival
The 13th edition of the Carnival of Satriano di Lucania took place during Carnival 2025, featuring the archaic masks of the Rumita, the Bear, and the Zita, and the rite of The Walking Forest with 131 Rumita, one for each municipality in Basilicata.
In 2025, the Carnival of Satriano di Lucania once again brought its archaic masks and the evocative rite of The Walking Forest to the stage, with 131 Rumita covered in ivy crossing the town and the woods. Amidst the Zita procession, the parade of Bears and Lent figures, and musical interludes, the edition confirmed the carnival as one of the most important ethno-anthropological events in Southern Italy, curated by the Associazione Al Parco with the support of the Municipality and APT Basilicata.
