2025 Edition
The second edition of the Saracena Swim Cup was held on Sunday, June 29, 2025, along the Saracena Coast between Brolo and Gliaca di Piraino, opening the Grand Prix Sicilia Openwater calendar. The 2nd Saracena Trophy was contested over a distance of 5 km (round trip), while the afternoon featured the Miglio dei Lancia on the 1,852-meter triangular course around the Scoglio di Brolo.
In the combined classification of the two events, the trophy went to Giorgia Di Mario and Antonino Cafarelli. In the 5 km Saracena Trophy, among the competitive athletes, Gabriele Molonia emerged victorious after a hard-fought finish. The edition confirmed the event's strong appeal, with approximately 240 swimmers at the start and hundreds of supporters on the shore, celebrating sport and the promotion of the Nebrodi territory.
