Edition 2025 — Mussels Saracen Style
In 2025, the Saracen Mussels Festival celebrated its 38th edition in Borgomaro on July 12th. The 'U Castellu' Association offered mussels 'alla Saracena' at the traditional outdoor dinner on wooden tables, with local wine and a dancing evening, attracting numerous visitors from the Maro Valley and the Imperia coast.
The 2025 edition of the Saracen Mussels Festival, the 38th, was held on July 12th in Borgomaro. The 'U Castellu' Association served mussels prepared according to the characteristic 'alla Saracena' recipe at the grand outdoor dinner, set up on long wooden tables in the village. The evening, accompanied by local wine and dancing, confirmed the success of a long-standing festival, capable of bringing the flavour of the sea to the hinterland of the Maro Valley, in the province of Imperia.
