Santu Patri Procession (Saint Francis of Paola)

2025 Edition

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, thousands of faithful in Trapani awaited the exit of the Saint Francis of Paola statue. The procession departed at 4:00 PM from the Church of Saint Peter, accompanied by the "Città di Paceco" band directed by maestro Claudio Maltese, who has followed the procession since 1995.

The route touched upon the most significant sites of maritime devotion: the prayer stop at the chapel of the Madonna of the Seafarers, the ceremony at the port gateway with a wreath of flowers cast into the sea in honor of the victims of the sea, the blessing of the boats at the fishing port, and the concluding fireworks display. An intense day that confirmed the strong bond between the city of Trapani and its moral patron.
