Santissimo Crocifisso Festival – Lu Tri di Maiu

The 2025 edition

The Santissimo Crocifisso 2025 Festival confirmed the massive participation of the Siculiana community, in the province of Agrigento. From April 29 to May 3, the traditional moments of the event took place: cannon fire from Monte Mele, brass bands through the town streets, solemn masses in the Sanctuary, and evening shows in Piazza Umberto I.

As per tradition, the lowering of the veil was celebrated on May 2nd, while the afternoon of May 3rd was dedicated to the solemn procession of the Black Christ statue, a moment of great religious and popular intensity that drew numerous faithful and pilgrims, many of whom walked barefoot to fulfill their vows.
