Sant'Antonio Festival in Cercina

The 2025 edition was held on Sunday, January 19, in the hamlet of Cercina, Sesto Fiorentino. The parade departed at 10:00 AM, accompanied by horsemen and municipal representatives, traveling through the village to the parish church of Sant'Andrea. At 11:30 AM, the blessing of the animals took place, during which the priest distributed a bronze medal to the owners as a souvenir, followed by Holy Mass.

The initiative, organized by the Pro Loco of Sesto Fiorentino and the Comitato del Trentesimo with the patronage of the Municipality, was attended by, among others, Deputy Mayor Claudia Pecchioli, Pro Loco President Laura Gioli, and committee leaders. The day ended with the traditional fettunta shared in good company, a true reflection of the community spirit of this rural festival.
