Edition 2025 — Santa Ubaldesca Historical Regatta

In May 2025, Calcinaia celebrated a new edition of the Santa Ubaldesca Historical Regatta, confirming the event on the last Sunday of the month. The traditional rowing challenge on the Arno between the districts of La Nave, Montecchio, and Oltrarno was preceded by a costume parade and was part of the Maggio Calcinaiolo calendar, featuring religious processions, food festivals, and popular celebrations.

The 2025 edition of the Santa Ubaldesca Historical Regatta renewed a rowing tradition in Calcinaia (Province of Pisa) that has been rooted for nearly two centuries. On Lungarno Mazzini, the boats of the three districts - La Nave, Montecchio, and Oltrarno - competed along the course on the Arno, in honor of the patron saint Ubaldesca Taccini.

As per custom, the race was accompanied by the historical costume parade and included in the broader Maggio Calcinaiolo program, with the solemn procession of the relic, the Sagra della Nozza, and the convivial moments that enliven the Municipality throughout the month.
