Santa Rita da Cascia Celebrations – Perdonanza Leoniana

2025 Edition

The 2025 festivities opened on Tuesday, May 21, at 16:00 with a parade of the Celli brass band of Casoli through the historic center, followed at 17:30 by the procession from the church of the Santissima Trinità and, at 18:00, by the solemn mass at the Sanctuary of Santo Spirito, celebrated by Monsignor Giuseppe Sciacca. In the evening, Piazza Duchi d'Acquaviva hosted a concert by the band Fuzzy Dice.

On Wednesday, May 22, the masses at 6:30, 10:00, and 11:15 accompanied the blessing of the roses and the supplication to the Saint. The day continued with a brass band concert by the "Città di Francavilla Fontana", a musical matinée in Piazza Duomo, and, in the evening, a concluding concert with a fireworks display. The festival was part of the 2025 Jubilee Year, commemorating 125 years since the canonization of Saint Rita.
