Edition 2025 — Maria Ausiliatrice Feast

In 2025, the Santa Maria Ausiliatrice Feast was extended to three full days, from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th, with a broader format than in previous years. The VII Municipality authorized about fifty locations for inflatables, street food trucks, and craft stands, while the May 24th procession traversed the streets of the Appio Latino-Tuscolano district as usual.

A longer and richer edition

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast marked a further step in the recovery process started in 2022, after the hiatus of the pandemic years. The event spanned three days, from Friday, May 23rd to Sunday, May 25th, covering the entire weekend around the liturgical solemnity of May 24th.

Fifty stalls in the square

The most visible novelty was the expansion of the festival area: the VII Municipality had authorized about fifty locations along the streets closed to traffic around the basilica, including inflatables and children's games, street food trucks, and craft stands. A setup that made the festival one of the most popular events in the Roman spring outside the city center.

The religious part

The liturgical program followed the Salesian tradition: rosary and novena in the preceding weeks, solemn masses on the day of the feast, and the evening procession with the statue of Maria Ausiliatrice through the streets of the district, amidst the decorated windows of the neighborhood.
