Santa Lucia Fair and Feast

The 2025 edition of the Santa Lucia Feast in Cutrofiano (Lecce) took place on December 13th, in the heart of Salento and in the middle of the Christmas season. Celebrations were concentrated at the Parish of Santa Maria della Neve, the town's main church, where a prayer triduum preceded the solemn mass in honor of the Syracusan saint.

As in recent years, the event was held in a more sober form compared to the past, when the feast was accompanied by a commercial fair with stalls, artisan ceramics, and traditional sweets. Even without the fair, the community's devotion remained alive and well-attended, confirming Cutrofiano's bond with the figure of Saint Lucy, a symbol of light on the shortest day of the year.
