Santa Cristina Feast and Fair

The 2025 edition of the Santa Cristina Feast took place in Gallipoli from July 23rd to 25th, attracting a large crowd to the historic center and the old town as it does every year. On July 23rd, the city lit up with illuminations and the first musical performances in Piazza Tellini and Piazza Aldo Moro, following the religious opening and the procession. July 24th, the "day of the steddha", saw the band parade in the morning and, in the afternoon, the traditional Cuccagna a mare in the Seno del Canneto, followed by concerts and musical evenings. On July 25th, the festivities closed with a thanksgiving mass and the grand fireworks display over the sea in the port area. A feast that confirmed the strong bond between the Gallipoli community, its patron saint, and the sea.
