Edition 2025 — Sant'Ubaldo Feast

On May 16, 2025, Taranta Peligna celebrated the Sant'Ubaldo Patronal Feast, the patron saint of the Abruzzo village. The event, which offered free admission and was promoted by the Municipality of Taranta Peligna, brought the community together for a liturgical celebration at the Church of San Nicola di Bari and a traditional procession through the streets of the historic center, at the foot of the eastern Majella.

The 2025 patronal feast

In 2025, Taranta Peligna, in the Province of Chieti, once again renewed its appointment with its patron saint, Sant'Ubaldo of Gubbio, on May 16th. The celebration, promoted by the Municipality of Taranta Peligna in conjunction with the parish, took place at the Church of San Nicola di Bari, featuring a solemn mass and a procession through the streets of the village overlooking the Aventino valley.

The event, with free admission, maintained its deeply communal character: a moment of devotion and gathering that draws many former residents back to the village every year. It remains one of the most heartfelt traditions in the Abruzzo mountains, reflecting the religious and artisanal heritage that characterizes this small town in the Majella National Park.
