Edition 2025 — Sant'Ippolito Feast
The 2025 edition of the Sant'Ippolito Patronal Feast in Roccaraso reached its climax on August 14th, with a solemn mass celebrated in the afternoon at the Church of Santa Maria Assunta by Monsignor Giovanni Massaro, Bishop of the Marsi, before a church crowded with faithful and tourists. At the end of the service, the community accompanied the silver bust of the saint—a work of Neapolitan goldsmithing from 1688—in a procession through the streets, with the Festival Committee represented by the young people of the 1996 class.
In his homily, the Bishop developed the theme of daily martyrdom experienced in relationships and the care of creation, also recalling the beauty of the Alto Sangro landscape. On the evening of August 13th, as part of the Roccaraso summer calendar, a concert by Michele Zarrillo was held, one of the most anticipated musical events in a schedule that also included live performances by Nina Zilli and Enzo Avitabile in the following days.
