Sant'Eustachio 2025 in Poli

From September 19 to 21, 2025, the village of Poli, in the Prenestini Mountains, celebrated its patron saint with the usual event managed by the Le Donne del Vicolo association, listed in the Lazio Region Historical Re-enactment Register.

On Saturday morning, participants followed the traditional devotional itinerary toward the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Mentorella, on Mount Guadagnolo, followed in the evening by a communal dinner in Piazza Conti. On Sunday, the historic center transformed into an open-air theater with the dialect performance of Placido's conversion, Mass, and the procession with the Saint's painting, accompanied by flag-wavers and musicians from Castel Madama.

In the afternoon, the most anticipated moment arrived, the Hospitality Festival: the locals offered first courses of peasant cuisine, meats, polenta, cheeses, porchetta, desserts, and wine along the alleys, amidst popular songs and dances.
