Sant'Eufemia Patronal Feast (with the Gara delle Mazze)

The 2025 Sant'Eufemia Feast was held in Carinaro, in the province of Caserta, from September 12th to 14th. The Carinaro community renewed its bond with its patron saint again this year through a rich calendar of events. The days were marked by solemn masses in the Church of Sant'Eufemia and the evocative procession of the statue through the town streets, accompanied by the faithful, confraternities, and the brass band.

The highlight of the festivities was the Gara delle Mazze, the popular auction that grants the right to carry the saint's statue on one's shoulders and which the Campania Region has recognized as intangible cultural heritage. The civil program enlivened the squares with concerts, shows, and food stalls, while the fireworks display closed the festival in style.
