Edition 2025 — Sant'Erasmo
The Sant'Erasmo Festival 2025 confirmed the vitality of a centuries-old tradition in Santeramo in Colle, in the Province of Bari. The festivities began on Sunday, May 18, and continued until June 7, with the religious heart on the solemnity of Monday, June 2.
That day, after the morning Diana, the solemn concelebration presided over by Bishop Giuseppe Russo was held at 9:00, followed at 11:00 by the long procession with the statue of the saint through the streets of the center, accompanied by brass bands. In the evening, the secular festival featured the release of hot-air balloons at 18:00, the performance of flag-wavers at 19:00, the evocative historical pageant in period costume preceding the triumphal chariot at 21:00, and at 01:30 the grand fireworks handled by two specialized companies. The "festival of the outsiders" attracted visitors from all over the province in 2025 as well, along with numerous Santeramo natives who returned for the occasion.
