Edition 2025 โ€” Sant'Erasmo Formia

The 2025 edition of the festivities in honor of Sant'Erasmo took place in Formia from May 23 to June 2, blending faith, tradition, and entertainment. The program included the district tour by the "U. Scipione" Band, the Notte Verde in the Castellone district, the Coriandolata, the Millennium Party, the procession with the blessing of the sea, the concert by Clara, and fireworks over the gulf.

The festivities opened on May 23 with the district tour by the "U. Scipione" Band and the Eucharistic celebration presided over by Msgr. Luigi Vari, Archbishop of Gaeta, in front of the venerated statue of the Patron Saint.

On Saturday, May 31, the switching on of the artistic illuminations in the district and the Millennium Party show kicked off the most festive part of the calendar. On June 1, the Castellone district hosted the Notte Verde, with musical performances, popular traditions, and tastings of the typical "le Virtรน" dish; at 9:30 PM, in Piazza Sant'Erasmo, the comedy show by Biagio Izzo.

On June 2, the day of the solemnity, the 5:30 PM procession with the blessing of the sea and the traditional encounter between the city's two patron saints, Sant'Erasmo and Saint John the Baptist. In the evening, the concert by Clara at 10:00 PM in Piazza Mattei and, at midnight, "The Night of Sant'Erasmo", the grand pyrotechnic show over the sea. The traditional Coriandolata in Piazza della Vittoria was also a highlight.
