Sangiovannese Carnival

The 2025 Sangiovannese Carnival brought the theme of "Ice and Sea" to the center of San Giovanni Valdarno. The three main floats were dedicated to Neptune, god of the sea, an ice kingdom inspired by the world of Frozen, and a children's float with new designs and characters.

The parades were held on Sunday, February 23, Sunday, March 2, and Shrove Tuesday, March 4, starting at 3:00 PM. Alongside the floats, there were costumed street processions, the train, inflatables for children in Piazza Cavour, the Uffizi del Carnevale on festival Sundays, the "Traditions in Masks" photo exhibition, and the Festa della Salacca to close the festivities.
