The 65th edition

The 65th Sanfratellano Horse Fair and Exhibition was held on Sunday, September 14, 2025, in Contrada Passo dei Tre, in San Fratello, in the Nebrodi mountains in the province of Messina. Interested breeders were able to submit their participation applications by the end of August, according to the notice published by the Municipality of San Fratello.

As per tradition, during the day, a panel of experts evaluated the specimens of the native breed based on morphological characteristics and temperament, while in the afternoon, the award ceremony for the best horses and the top three finishers took place. The exhibition also featured equestrian displays, entertainment shows, and the opportunity to taste and purchase Nebrodi gastronomic specialties, in an event that confirms the village's strong bond with its millennial horse breed.
