Edition 2025 — Sancataldese Holy Week

The 2025 edition of the Sancataldese Holy Week took place in the week leading up to Easter on April 20. As per secular tradition, San Cataldo staged processions, historical pageants, and sacred plays, from the Little Mysteries to the Scinnenza and the parade of the Sampauluna on Easter Sunday. The edition saw very high participation, with seats for the sacred plays selling out quickly.

In 2025, the Sancataldese Holy Week was celebrated in the week preceding Easter, which fell on April 20. The Municipality of San Cataldo, in the Nisseno area, experienced intense days marked by the great rituals of tradition: the Last Supper, the Trial of Jesus with Roman legionaries, the poignant 'A Scinnenza on Good Friday, and, as a culmination, the race of the Sampauluna on Easter Sunday. Participation was very high and the seats reserved for the sacred plays sold out quickly, confirming the strong appeal of the event throughout Central Sicily.
