Edition 2016 — San Tito Decennial Festival

The 2016 decennial edition of the Festa di San Tito attracted about one hundred thousand visitors to Casorate Sempione, a town of five thousand inhabitants. The districts decorated the streets with thousands of handmade flowers, while processions, cannon shots, concerts, fireworks, and the risotto feast in the square marked the ten days of celebration.

The previous decennial edition, in 2016, remains in the memory of Casorate Sempione as one of the most attended: about one hundred thousand visitors came to the town to admire the districts decorated with the characteristic handmade paper and plastic flowers. For ten days, solemn processions with Saint Titus's urn, cannon shots, concerts, shows, and fireworks alternated, culminating in the traditional risotto feast in the square. An edition that confirmed the extraordinary appeal of this unique festival, which returns only once every ten years in the Varese region.
