Edition 2025 — San Severo Carnival

In 2025, the Municipality of San Severo once again proposed the San Severo Carnival as a city festival aimed at schools and families. The event confirmed its established format: an allegorical parade of schools, street entertainment in the center, and the traditional "Funerale a Carnuvel" ritual to close the carnival celebrations before Lent.

San Severo Carnival 2025

During the 2025 Carnival period, the squares of San Severo, in the Province of Foggia, hosted the carnival celebration organized by the Municipality, focusing on the city's comprehensive institutes and private schools. Masked processions, costumes, and small floats created by students, teachers, and families enlivened the historic center.

As per tradition, the allegorical parade was accompanied by entertainment for children and families, leading up to the symbolic "Funerale a Carnuvel," an ancient folk ritual of the Capitanata that closes the Carnival and marks the transition to Lent.
