San Sebastiano Horse Trail

The 2025 edition of the San Sebastiano Horse Trail took place on August 10th, confirming an established appointment for the community of Mistretta. Early in the morning, participants left the historic centre to reach Lake Urio Quattrocchi, travelling the approximately 25 km route on foot, horseback, or bicycle through the valley of the waterfalls and the Montepiano forest.

Upon reaching the lake's recreational area, pilgrims attended holy mass at the votive shrine dedicated to the patron saint, followed by a convivial moment blending faith and nature. In the late afternoon, the procession returned to the village, with a stop at the Church of San Sebastiano for a blessing with the relics and an evening of music in the centre of Mistretta.
