San Rocco Festival of Gorizia

The 2025 San Rocco Festival enlivened the Old Borgo San Rocco of Gorizia from August 8 to 17. The inauguration on August 8, at 7 PM, featured dances by the Santa Gorizia group, the philharmonic band of Ronchi dei Legionari, and the traditional carriage procession, as well as a charity lottery with over 12,000 prizes.

Among the events, on August 10, the 50th Gara dei Scampanotadôrs was held with ringers from Gorizia, Slovenia, and Friuli, accompanied by the orchestra Fantasy. Evenings offered concerts and dance orchestras. The gatherings under the tree covered topics such as a guide to Gorizia's sites, the history of refugees in Wagna during the Great War, and Gorizia as the European Capital of Cuisine. Three charity raffles of €3,000 each took place on August 11, 14, and 16. On August 16, the patronal feast included a solemn mass and the 39th edition of the Mattone su Mattone award; the festival concluded on August 17 with the multilingual performance "Suns di periferie" (Suns of the suburbs).
