San Rocco Festival in Calderà

2025 Edition

The 2025 San Rocco Festival in Calderà was held as per tradition on August 16th and 17th in the seaside district of Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto, and was included in the R...Estate summer program promoted by the Municipality. On August 16th, the historic Livestock Fair took place, featuring breeders, stalls with local products, and the traditional boiled pork.

The highlight arrived with the sea procession of the statue along the coast, while the faithful lit bonfires and illuminations from the beach; the evening concluded with fireworks. The festival, organized by the Parish of San Rocco in Calderà together with the Nasari community, attracted thousands of people from across the province of Messina, as it does every year.

Traditional program of the 2025 edition:

• August 16th — Livestock Fair and local products market; procession of the San Rocco statue through the streets of Calderà.
• August 17th — Religious celebrations in the church of San Rocco; in the evening, the evocative sea procession along the coast, with beach bonfires, illuminations, and final fireworks.
