Edition 2025 — San Rocco Vallecupa

The 2025 edition of the San Rocco Festival took place on Saturday, August 16th, in the Vallecupa district of Bomba, in the province of Chieti. The community gathered around the Church of San Rocco for religious celebrations and a procession in honor of the saint, in a day that saw the participation of both residents and emigrants who returned to the village for their summer holidays. The festival, organized by the Vallecupa Festival Committee, confirmed the traditional date of August 16th.

On August 16, 2025, the Vallecupa district of Bomba (province of Chieti, Abruzzo) celebrated the San Rocco Festival, the most anticipated event of the summer for the area. The Eucharistic celebration and the procession with the statue of the saint took place around the Church of San Rocco, followed by popular festivities that bring the community together every year.

The date of August 16th, coinciding with the liturgical feast of the pilgrim saint, allowed for the participation of emigrants from Bomba returning for the holidays in 2025 as well, confirming the festival's role as a moment of homecoming and intergenerational connection.
