Edition 2025 — San Rocco and Puccia Festival

In 2025, the San Rocco Festival and the Puccia Food Festival brought Sternatia to life on August 15th and 16th. On the evening of the 15th, the eve of the Assumption, the historic center was filled for the distribution of the Salento puccia; on August 16th, the community celebrated Saint Roch with mass, a procession of the statue through the streets, a brass band concert, a live music show in the square, and closing fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the San Rocco Festival and Puccia Food Festival took place in Sternatia, in the Grecìa Salentina area of the Lecce province, on August 15th and 16th. On August 15th, coinciding with the eve of the Assumption, the Puccia Food Festival returned with its large bread stuffed with eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, zucchini, arugula, chicory, and cheese.

On August 16th, devotion to Saint Roch marked the day with religious services and a procession, followed in the evening by secular celebrations: a band, live music, and traditional fireworks. The accompanying fair, a historic appointment in the summer calendar of the Municipality of Sternatia, was also held.
