Edition 2025 — Fava Bean Festival

The 2025 edition of the San Pietro Fava Bean Festival took place in Isnello on Saturday, June 28, 2025. In the village districts, decorated with ornaments recalling pastoral life, local associations set up tables and cooked fava beans in copper pots. Visitors were offered boiled fava beans, potatoes, and onions, seasoned with oil, vinegar, and salt, and accompanied by local red wine, in a well-attended popular festival that has been held for over forty years.

On Saturday, June 28, 2025, Isnello celebrated the San Pietro Fava Bean Festival, confirming a tradition that has been renewed for over forty years. The various districts of the Madonie village — including Piazza dei Caduti, Via Santa Giovanna d'Arco, Piazza Mazzini, the Sutta u' Roggiu district, and Corso Vittorio Emanuele II — were decorated with broom and ivy and brought to life by local associations.

At each station, fava beans were cooked in historic copper pots along with onions and potatoes, then offered for free to visitors with a dressing of oil and vinegar, accompanied by local wine. The event was managed by the Pro Loco of Isnello with the Youth Council and other local associations.
