San Nilo 2025: Culture, Tradition, and Entertainment
On Friday, September 26, 2025, Grottaferrata celebrated its patron saint and founder with a program spread throughout the city, promoted by the municipal administration together with the SCR Consortium and local associations.
From 10:00 AM, Parco Traiano hosted the artisan market and entertainment curated by the Pro Loco. From 7:00 PM, the Abbey moat came alive with the food area managed by the Ce steva 'na vota Association. At 8:30 PM, also in the moat, the free concert Italian Musical Journey... from Puccini to Dalla featured tenor Dario Di Vietri and soprano Tea Purtseladze, with orchestra and choir under the direction of Maestro Enrico Stinchelli.
The evening concluded at 11:30 PM at Piazzale San Nilo with the reduced-noise fireworks display with musical accompaniment, a now-characteristic choice for the Grottaferrata festival, designed for the well-being of animals and sensitive individuals.
