Edition 2025 — San Michele in Grotta

Once again in 2025, on May 8th, Minervino Murge renewed its devotion to Saint Michael the Archangel with the San Michele in Grotta Festival. As per tradition, the community gathered at the karst cave for the recitation of the Angelic Chaplet, Holy Mass on the square, and activities for children, alongside extraordinary openings of the cavity.

The San Michele in Grotta Festival returned on May 8, 2025, faithful to the appointment that gathers Minervino Murge around the Grotta di San Michele every year. The celebration, known locally as the "Poor Man's San Michele," combined the recitation of the Angelic Chaplet, Holy Mass on the cave's square, and moments dedicated to children and teenagers. In this edition as well, the karst cavity in the Lama Matitani area welcomed the faithful and visitors, confirming the role of the rock sanctuary as a spiritual landmark for the entire upper Murgia.
