Edition 2025 — San Martino Palio

The 16th edition of the San Martino Palio - Barrel Race took place on Saturday, November 8th, and Sunday, November 9th, 2025, in the historic center of Castell'Umberto. Two days of celebration featuring tradition, taste, and fun, with the barrel challenge, historical pageants, the Antica Ibla Major flag-wavers from Paternò, show cooking, cabaret, live music, and food stalls featuring typical Nebrodi products.

The 16th edition of the San Martino Palio - Barrel Race was held on November 8th and 9th, 2025, in the historic center of Castell'Umberto, in the Nebrodi mountains.

Saturday, November 8th: at 6:00 PM, inauguration and opening of the stalls; at 7:00 PM, show cooking with chef Salvatore Armeli Moccia; at 9:00 PM, cabaret with Stefano Piazza and the show "4 Cianchi in Padella", followed by live music.

Sunday, November 9th: opening of the stalls in the morning, historical pageant with the "Antica Ibla Major" flag-wavers from Paternò, at 2:30 PM the qualifying rounds of the Barrel Race, the flag-wavers' performance, the Administrators' Race, at 5:30 PM the final of the Barrel Race, the demonstration of the "Lancio del Maiorchino", and the concert by the "Senza Regole - Live Band".

Throughout the weekend, street food and typical products of the Nebrodi territory were the protagonists.

Sunday, November 9, 2025: opening of stalls in the morning; historical pageant with the "Antica Ibla Major" flag-wavers from Paternò; 2:30 PM Barrel Race qualifiers; flag-wavers' performance; Administrators' Race; 5:30 PM Barrel Race final; "Lancio del Maiorchino" demonstration; concert by the "Senza Regole - Live Band".
