Edition 2025 — San Martino Organ Festival

The 38th edition of the San Martino delle Scale Organ Festival took place from July 18 to early August 2025 at the Benedictine Abbey Basilica of Monreale, featuring six free concert evenings. The festival celebrated the centenary of Marco Enrico Bossi's death and the tercentenary of Alessandro Scarlatti, alternating solo organ, orchestra, choir, and ensemble performances under the artistic direction of Giovan Battista Vaglica.

The 38th edition (2025) of the San Martino delle Scale Organ Festival opened on Friday, July 18, 2025, and continued for six evenings until the beginning of August at the Benedictine Abbey Basilica of Monreale, in the province of Palermo.

The inaugural concert, dedicated to a tribute to Bossi and Haydn, featured organist Andrea Macinanti alongside the Symphony Orchestra of the Alessandro Scarlatti Conservatory of Palermo, with a performance of Marco Enrico Bossi's Concerto Op. 100. Subsequent evenings featured prominent national and international organists. The festival celebrated the centenary of Bossi's death and the tercentenary of Alessandro Scarlatti, with the final evening dedicated to the Neapolitan musical school, performed by the Claustrum Musicae ensemble.

The edition, which offered free admission, was a great success with the public, confirming the festival as one of the most anticipated cultural events of the Monreale summer.
