San Marco Fair and Feast and Madonna del Buon Consiglio Festival

The 2025 edition confirmed the massive popular participation in this ancient Ruffano tradition. The three-day preparation for Saint Mark the Evangelist began on April 22nd at the Church of San Francesco; on April 24th, the procession brought the image of the Saint to the Church of the Carmine, while on April 25th, holy masses were celebrated at the Sanctuary and the historic San Marco Fair took place in the historic center. On the evening of April 25th, Piazza del Popolo hosted a concert, while on April 26th, the day of the Madonna del Buon Consiglio, masses were held at the Confraternity, followed by the solemn procession with the "Città di Francavilla Fontana" band and a firework display. The traditional scapece was, of course, a highlight of the festival days.
