San Mamante Festival — Patronal Feast of Lizzano in Belvedere

The 2025 edition of the Festa di San Mamante took place on Sunday, August 17, 2025, in Lizzano in Belvedere (BO), confirming the patronal tradition of the Apennine village. The Solemn Holy Mass in the parish church and the procession with the statue of the saint through the streets of the center marked the religious part of the day.

Around the celebrations, the craft and farmers' markets with typical local products, the food stalls with mountain cuisine dishes, local sweets, and wines from the Bologna hills, as well as live music and entertainment for all ages, came to life. The festival, also in 2025, represented a moment of strong identity for the community of Lizzano in Belvedere and for the many holidaymakers present in August in the Bologna Apennines.
