Edition 2025 — San Lucchese

In 2025, Poggibonsi once again celebrated its patron saint, San Lucchese, with the customary religious and popular festival. The eve of April 27th featured the traditional bonfires along the Staggia stream and the procession with the Saint's body through the city streets, while on April 28th, the Basilica of San Lucchese hosted liturgical celebrations, the fair with stalls, and the traditional evening fireworks display.

The 2025 edition of the San Lucchese Festival renewed a centuries-old tradition in Poggibonsi. On the evening of the eve, April 27th, the districts lit bonfires along the Staggia stream while the Saint's body was carried in procession through the town streets, accompanied by the local band.

On April 28th, the patronal feast day, the Basilica of San Lucchese was animated by Eucharistic celebrations, the blessing of the city and the Valdelsa, and the fair with stalls from local associations and businesses. The day concluded with the fireworks display, a moment highly anticipated by both adults and children.
