The 2025 patronal feast

On August 9th and 10th, 2025, Barbarano del Capo celebrated its patron saint, San Lorenzo. The eve of August 9th was marked by liturgical celebrations and the procession of the Saint's statue through the village streets, accompanied by the notes of the brass band.

On August 10th, the day of San Lorenzo, the village came alive from the morning with the large market fair of ancient origins, featuring stalls of typical products and crafts, holy masses in the Mother Church and in the square, evening musical shows, and traditional fireworks to conclude the festivities in the heart of the lower Salento summer.

Eve — August 9, 2025

• Religious celebrations and holy masses in the Mother Church of San Lorenzo
• Solemn procession of the statue of San Lorenzo through the village streets, accompanied by the brass band
• Brass band concert in Piazza San Lorenzo

Saint's Day — August 10, 2025

• Holy masses in honor of the patron saint
• Large Market Fair of typical products and crafts along the streets of the historic center
• Illuminations and entertainment in the square
• Evening musical performances
• Fireworks at the conclusion of the festivities
