San Leonardo Fair

The 2025 San Leonardo Fair was held in Castrignano de' Greci (LE), in Grecìa Salentina, on November 6, 8, and 9, coinciding with the traditional second Sunday of the month.

As is customary, the fair enlivened the town with a large market featuring local merchants and those from neighboring towns, the livestock fair in the fields near the rural chapel, and stalls selling Salento sweets and local products. The cuccagna was a major highlight, being one of the few remaining in all of Salento, with teams of young people competing to climb the pole. The religious component included mass, a procession with the saint's statue accompanied by a band, and fireworks.
