The 2025 Carnival in San Gregorio di Catania

The 2025 edition proved to be much more than just a masquerade party: it was a true tool for social cohesion for the San Gregorio di Catania community.

On February 28, 2025, from 6:30 PM, the hall of the Day Center for families on Via Bellini 7 hosted a fun masquerade party with a costume contest divided into several categories — most elegant, funniest, most original, and group costume — accompanied by oriental dance performances by the Habibi Project group, a gypsy dance with the participation of the Day Center's guests, and games and social activities. The event was organized by the Day Center committee with the Misericordia of San Gregorio, the Orizzonte and San Bernardo cooperatives, and civic service volunteers.

On March 1, 2025, the Municipality, through the Departments of Culture and Entertainment, hosted the Carnival party open to the public, with free admission. Empathy, inclusion, and solidarity were the core values of the event.
