Edition 2025 — Sangiovannese Carnival

The 2025 edition of the San Giovanni Rotondo Carnival brought the historic center to life between late February and early March. The highlight days were Saturday, March 1st, and Tuesday, March 4th, featuring parades of schools and masked groups from the Gargano along Via Kennedy, Piazza Padre Pio, Corso Umberto I, and Piazza dei Martiri, as well as DJ sets, the Bright Night, and the Zeppola Festival with free tastings.

The 2025 Carnival of San Giovanni Rotondo took place over several days. From February 17 to March 9, an exhibition of crochet works featuring the large hat of the Carluccio mask was set up in Piazza De Mattias. On Saturday, March 1, starting at 3:00 PM, the parade of Gargano masked groups was held with DJ sets (DJ Mik, Voice Pascal) and the 'Dance Tarantella'. On Tuesday, March 4, starting at 5:00 PM, the Bright Night and Zeppola Festival took place with local pastry shops, free tastings, the 'Zeppolone' of Saint Joseph, and the 'Death of the Carnival' procession. From February 28 to March 6, the 'Michele Capuano' Museum of Popular Arts and Traditions hosted 'Carnival at the Museum', with traditional sweet-making workshops, masquerade parties, and re-enactments. The initiative was promoted by the Municipality, the Pro Loco, and the Tre Torri Association.
